Recent Alumni

Kyle Vanderburg's acousmatic piece Reverie of Solitude was performed at ICMC in UNT, Denton, TX (September 2015). In the same month, it was also performed at CICTeM in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In October 2015 his Creatures of the Black Bassoon was featured in EMUFest in Rome, Italy. Earlier, his Remnants of Creation was featured at NYCEMF (June 2015).

 

Current Students

Joshua Tomlinson's acousmatic piece Convergences was performed at the SEAMUS National Conference in Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, GA (February 2016). The same piece is scheduled for performance at NACUSA and NYCEMF 2016.

 

Ioannis Andriotis's work for multi-percussion and live electronics Lokasena was premiered in ICMC, at UNT, Denton, TX, by Ricardo Souza (September 2015).

 

Ioannis Andriotis's acousmatic work Shades of Life: Negative Space was performed at NYCEMF, New York (June 2015).

 

Kenn McSperitt's acousmatic work Transients was selected for performance at NYCEMF 2015.

 

Dave Ikard's acousmatic work Memoir of a Daydream was performed during SEAMUS National Conference in Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, GA (February 2016).

 

Ioannis Andriotis has been invited to give a lecture on how to produce concerts with live electronics at the Florida State University (April 2016).

 

The Gradute Students of Electroacoustic Composition at OU have undertaken the hosting of the National Student Electronic Music Event (NSEME) in Norman, March 2016. Visit the event page at http://nseme.org/
